This is a lovely example of a 1953 Singer 4AD roadster which was a competitor to the more common MG-TD back in the day. The Singer has a 58 HP 1.5 liter overhead cam engine with twin carburetors. It also has a 4 speed manual transmission, a small back seat, aluminum body, and independent front suspension, all of which were quite advanced for the day. I am listing this particular car for a friend and from what we can determine this car was originally restored in the late 1970's or 80's and was used sparingly since that time. The car is running and is currently tagged for road use. The current owner had the car converted to 12v, installed a 4 wheel disc brake kit, and an aftermarket aluminum fuel tank in the trunk. The car starts easy, shifts, and stops, but could use some additional tuning/adjusting to get everything really dialed in. Includes side curtains and a new convertible top which has never been installed. I would characterize this as a nice user car in good overall condition. It could be the starting point of a concours level restoration as well. These cars are quite rare and extremely attractive!
