. It had to be listed as an 1802 as Ebays system would not accept the VIN number in this country.
There is
NO
title for this rolling chassis. It has never been a completed vehicle and therefor has never qualified to have one issued for it. You will be provided a bill of sale for the chassis and the parts that come with it.
You are bidding on a Romanian 2002 ARO 246 SUV. This was imported new and incomplete so it did not qualify as an automobile. There are not many AROs in The United States. These things turn heads where ever they go. I have always been asked if it was a Range Rover, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz G Wagon, and an International Scout. It really confuses people as to what they are. This was my third ARO. This is a
PROJECT
car and will need completed before it can be driven and the title process started. The title process is different state to state. Please check your states custom constructed vehicle requirements.
This rolling chassis comes with a long list of parts. Not all of them will be photographed or listed. If when you pick up this rolling chassis you are welcome to leave behind any parts you do not want that are included with this package. Front seats came out of blue 244 pictured below.
Motor: Ford Ranger dual plug 2.3 I4. New parts installed include: Timing belt and tensioner, water pump, plugs, wires, PCV valve, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, intake gaskets, and thermostat. This motor is not bolted in and is just sitting there currently.
Transmission: Ford Ranger 4speed manual.
Transfer case: Ford Ranger part time unit. 4hi, 4low, 2hi, neutral.
Sold axles the come with it: Came out of a 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
Front is a Dana44 with manual locking hubs. Rotors have very little use on them but do have surface rust. Comes with a new set of rotors (with less surface rust) and I believe I have a set of new pads also. The spider gears in this axle have been Lincoln locked (welded).
Rear is a AMC 20 unit with the 1 piece shafts.
Wheels and tires: Stock Wagoneer aluminum 15 rims with Kuhmo (I believe) 33x12.5MT tires. These tires have less then 1000 street miles on them and 4 wheeling trips. They do show signs of use but have lots of tread. They have been kept indoors.
Leaf springs for SAS: Rough County 3.5 lift springs for the above Jeep. Had new bushings installed in them shortly before they were removed.
Comes with many extra small parts that can be utilized in finishing this project.
Comes with the earlier hood, grill, and light assembly. These years were face lifted with a bunch of fiberglass add on bits. I thought they looked bad and removed most of them. I will add a photo of what it looked like with it on and a photo of the blue one that the hood and grill came out of.
Comes with a Blue Ford Ranger dash and cluster.
This is a very cool project. I have admitted defeat as I have had no time to work on it in years and with another child on the way it is not looking any better.
