Yes she needs a total restoration. BUT, this car is very COMPLETE. The body is basically very solid with just undercarriage surface rust. Solid frame and floors. The paint may have originally been yellow. We got the original 354ci. Chrysler DUAL CARB HEMI V8 running with out much effort. The car only has 46, 000 miles. The engines internals sounded good. I do not have to sing the praises of this ULTRA RARE AND ULTRA COLLECTIBLE FRENCH CLASSIC. Just Google 1958 Facel Vega to quickly learn more about this incredible supercar and it's ever increasing value. Are they expensive? Yes, of course they are. Are they an excellent choice for restoration investment? ABSOLUTELY! Why, because of the excellent history of appreciation throughout the years, the ultra rare number built and the futuristic styling and performance. This Typhoon was stored in a warehouse in Pittsburgh Pa for the last 38 years. Storage was lost and the owner knew he was never going to get around to restoring it, so he put it outside the warehouse with a for sale sign on it. Please do not ask me what the reserve is.
