I have always wanted to own a YUGO, now it is your turn. I bought this wonder about 2 years ago with a parts car. It ran like dog. I sent the Weber to National Carb in Florida. They always do a great job. Added some plugs and and it ran like a thief. WOW! I took it to the mechanic that works on my other cars. 20 minutes of comments by the staff. I had the timing belt and the water pump replaced for my keeper. More happy driving. A lot of comments by not so gentle folks. Still fun. I took the GF to dinner and coming home - No headlights. Not a problem. New bulbs - NO. Change the fuse - NO (they are not labeled). Rob the parts car for another switch - NO. Rob the parts car for the dimmer assembly - NO. Switch unlabeled relays - NO
My next plan was to add a new aftermarket switch and dimmer, some wires and will defeated the Yugoslavian version of LUCAS (the prince of darkness).
WAIT! Why keep beating this dead horse.
Now it is your turn to score big time and be the envy of all your friends and own your own YUGO and a parts car. What a secure feeling. The driver has a clear title in my name and NO title for the parts car. I have some gaskets, manuals, and the name of a very nice guy with parts and free advice.
No way you should consider driving these beauties home. The car with a title has not been driven in 6 months. In YUGO years that is a lifetime. Something else has either fallen off or gone on holiday.
