History
: I bought this car from a guy in El Sobrante, CA in June, 2006. The previous owner owned it for 10-15 years I believe.
The body: (dark blue)
The body is in decent shape…some scratches and tiny dings. There is only one issue of rust on the hood, but an fairly easy fix.
The interior: (tan)
The interior is pretty good. I had the 2 front sets redone in Connolly Leather ($1, 800). I have a carpet kit for it but not installed. Everything else is original and in good shape.
The engine/drive train:
Original 440cu in big block with Hughes 505 cu in. stroker kit.
Hughes 3/8” pushrods
Eagle forged stroker crank
Eagle H-Beam con rods with ARP bolts
Hughes 2832 Cam with springs and retainer kit
Edelbrock RPM heads with blended ports and ductile seats
Hughes Stroker forged pistons 11:1 comp
Hughes Victor roller tip aluminum rockers
Hughes roller timing gear set
High volume oil pump
MSD ignition
Edelbrock RPM manifold
850cfm Mighty Demon carb
Custom headers done in South San Francisco by Sanderson Headers. Sounds great!
A-727 Torqueflite transmission.
Complete rebuild with B&M clutch, band, and, valve kit.
XX torque converter 2800 rpm stall
Dana 44 posi rear end.
Complete rebuild
Can’t remember the ratio – I’ll look it up and update the ad.
New U-joints and drive shaft balance.
Full suspension rebuild
All bushings and bearings
Koni shocks
Radiator rebuilt
New water pump
New hoses, belts, etc
New plug wires
Brakes – new pad and new fluids…..stops well with 4 wheel disc brakes.
Brand new (15 miles on them) BF Goodrich Raidial T/A’s.
I have a Maserati car cover for it and a zip up nylon bag that you drive on and zip up around the entire car.
I have a nice wooden Moto-Lita steering wheel for it.
The horn stopped working.
The gas lid needs to be opened with a manual hidden lever in the hatch back.
It has a LearJet 8-track radio - i don't think the 8-track works, but the am/fm works.
Great car and very fun to drive.
