Other Makes Kaiser (1952)
for sale
Price: US $15,000.00
Price: US $15,000.00
You are bidding on a 1952 Kaiser Virginian Deluxe, possibly one of the rarest Kaiser models ever made. The 1952 Virginians were nothing but leftover 1951 models that Kaiser did not want to sell at leftover model prices. Therefore, Henry Kaiser added a continental kit (the only Kaiser model ever sold with a factory continental kit), changed the hood ornament from clear to black and added the Virginian badging on the fender. He sold them from December of 1951 until he ran out of leftover 1951s in March of 1952, when he introduced the regular run of 1952 models. So you are bidding on a car model that was only sold for 3 months.
This particular car was part of an RM auction in 2008. It was from the collection of broadcasting magnate Art Astor and has spent its entire life in southern California until I bought it. I have kept it in a heated garage ever since. For a look at the story of Art Astor's collection and actual RM auction page for this car, see the following 2 links:

Although the car was in excellent condition when we bought it, it had been sitting in the collection for several years, so we put some money into it to bring it up to daily driver condition as we wanted to drive and show it. The car takes first and second places in shows (including Dedham, Mass. and Hemmings in Bennington, VT. We are including the Hemmings medallion) and is completely rust free. When Henry Kaiser implemented the Virginian idea, he sent the kits to the dealers to install and thus some of the parts were put on, some not. We changed the hood ornament and badging to comply with the Virginian changes. We had a (Kaiser correct) rebuilt engine installed, new wiring harness custom made by a Kaiser specialist, completely rebuilt the transmission, radiator and lines cleaned, new wheel cylinders, new shocks and leaf springs, carburetor rebuilt, new fuel pump, starter rebuilt, steering box rebuilt with new parts, new battery, 2 new American bias classic tires on the front, back bias tires are excellent. We added NOS steering wheel and horn ring as well as NOS chrome trunk hinges. Original radio and clock both work. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the horn because I was not able to thread the wire back down through the steering column when I changed the steering wheel. This car is all original except for: we added an electric fuel pump with switch, 6 volt fan with switch, and 6 volt alternator but I have kept the original generator and brackets if you want to change it back. I also have some extra parts which I am including. Included in the auction are all manuals, trophies, documents (including several manuals, brochures, and original unused 1951 collector Kaiser calender), custom show sign with tripod stand, custom arm rest with cup holders. Too much more to list, email with questions. I have most, if not all receipts for work and parts. I also have a 24' enclosed car hauler trailer for sale (trailer is
not
included in this auction.) that I customized to haul this car. (tow it home yourself!) Contact me if interested.
