1955 MACK TRUCK/TRACTOR B30
Before we tell you about the details of the fantastic restoration on this 1955 Mack truck/tractor B30, first we would like to tell you about the first owner. It was VB King who used the truck to use trailers in his company yard. (Note this vehicle never saw any heavy use). The second owner used it very little. Finally, the third and current owner has owned this car for close to 50 years and before retirement used this Mack B30 for light farm work.
The Private Seller would consider selling this truck for $21, 500 - kindly call 847-774-4857

Secondly we would like to tell you about the gentleman who restored this truck. He is a true perfectionist as can easily be seen in the details of the restoration. This gentleman restored this truck in the late 1990s or early 2000s. He traveled extensively through the USA and Canada to locate original parts for the restoration. Fortunately for this very rare truck this gentleman did much of the work himself as it would have been much more expensive to give it to a restoration shop at the current labor rate of $75 - $125 per hour.
Now to let you know about this truck and its restoration. The truck has its original six cylinder engine and manual transmission that were totally rebuilt and are in excellent running condition. Note the 68, 034 miles on the odometer, although not documented the current owner believes these to be the original mileage.
Here at MissChiTown we get a lot of pickup trucks that we market for other collectors on eBay but this is the first time that we have had a tractor/truck and what an amazing truck it is!!! The gentleman who owned the truck and had used it on his farm for some light farm work, after he retired decided to restore the truck to one of the most beautiful Mack trucks in the world. He tells us that he had restored it to like brand new condition. (We find it hard to believe that a brand new Mack truck could have looked this good)! Again, the man who restored this truck was a stickler for details due to his perfectionist personality.
It is interesting to note that since the truck was restored, this truck has not only NOT seen any bad weather but has not seen any water – period! It is only dusted off when the blankets come off. The truck of course is kept in a heated garage covered with blankets.
Again, the history is that the current owner purchased the Mack B30 from the second owner who used it very little. The original owner only used it to move around trailers in the company yard and again it never received any heavy use. The current owner restored the Mack in its original green paint color both on the exterior and interior. As stated previously the Mack B30 was totally disassembled and sand blasted and completely refinished to the original colors. You can certainly see in the photos the high quality restoration. The owner methodically starts this truck once a month to keep it in great running condition. The truck was last driven last summer as we previously stated the private seller only drives it in nice weather.
So, if you have a museum or you collect trucks or have always wanted to have one of the most unique trucks with one of the finest restorations then this may be the pièce de résistance for your collection. Tractor/trucks are big and hard to restore and very expensive to say the least. The owner of this tractor/truck has placed a very low reserve on this truck that undoubtedly would not pay for even 25% of the restoration costs if done at a professional restoration shop at around $100 an hour. It is a very, very rare opportunity!!!
