If you like owning and driving a powerful, responsible, and
unique car that gets people’s attention and has raw performance, this high
quality, totally hand-built Qvale Mangusta (kah-VAH-lee mahn-GOO-sta) is a
“must see.” Designed by legendary Marcello Gandini, who designed for
Lamborghini, Maserati, and Ferrari, the car’s design is ageless.
Powered by a 4.6L Ford Cobra SVT V8, this Italian designed
car carries a large dose of American power. Producing 320 horsepower and 314
pounds of torque, the Mangusta accelerates from 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds – only 1
second slower than a Ferrari - and
features a BorgWarner T4S (tremec) 5 speed manual transmission.
The exterior features a body constructed from composite
using a Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) process.
Rarer than a Ferrari, this 2001 Qvale Mangusta is #134 of
just 284 ever produced worldwide.
About This Vehicle:

Three Cars in One. The Qvale Mangusta is the only car in its
class that provides the driver a true convertible experience as the unique, three position “Rototop” transforms the car from a standard hardtop Coupe to a
Targa to a Cabriolet: a retractable hardtop convertible. It is like three cars
in one.
In 2004, Michael Frank of Forbes.com wrote:
“Ferrari sold 1, 200 cars in the United States last year, a
near record annual sales figure for the exotic Italian carmaker. That explains
why Ferraris continue to be exceedingly rare automobiles, and this level or
rarity, should you be lucky enough to own one, also explains why other drivers
will gawk, ogle and generally fall all over themselves when they see you
driving one of the world’s most magnificent super cars…Then again, if you were
one of only 200 buyers last year who bought a Qvale Mangusta, you could bet
both the purchase price and the value of your mortgage on the fact that other
drivers will chase you to gas stations and tailgate you on the highway, just
trying to get a closer look at this rarer-than-a-Ferrari street rod.”
Ben Hewitt of AmericanWayMag. com wrote in his Sexy
Beasts article:
…By stuffing a 320-horsepower Ford-built motor into an
Italian chassis. Qvale (say kah-vah-lee) delivers a car capable of
running neck and neck with pure-bred Italian supercars. at less than half the
price… it's the perfect car for drivers who demand exclusivity but don't have
three-quarters of a million dollars to buy it. In fact. the Mangusta is a far
rarer beast than any Ferrari… And when mechanical maladies rear their ugly
heads. a quick (and relatively inexpensive) visit to your local Ford dealer
should set things straight.
