When was the last time you saw a neat little 1953 Kaiser Manhattan sedan cruising around? Well, here's your chance to get one that runs well and is very original. For sale here is a 1953 Kaiser Manhattan in very good condition. The straight 6 cylinder engine runs well and the car has good brakes. The manual trans shifts good also. The body is in very good shape as you can see in the photos. This one also has the original faux bamboo interior that is in remarkable condition. The dash is very good. New Carpet. Very good headliner. The package shelf under the rear window is also good. The driver's seat has new foam inside it for a comfortable ride. The bumpers are solid and the paint is decent. There is some pitting on the hood chrome, headlight bezels, hood ornament and taillight trim. All of the door and window stainless is pretty nice. The tires are fairly new radials and have lots of tread and ride well. The engine runs fine and the exhaust sounds good. My mechanic recently went through the carb and the car starts right up. The battery is a little tired though. The trans shifts well and the overdrive works. All the gauges are working. Fuel ga, Oil pressure, AMPS, temp, and odometer gauges work. Speedometer works. The wipers work well. The vents, heater and defroster blower, work. The windows operate and both dome lights work. The door locks work except the driver's door lock. The hood has an inside latch release and it pops the hood right up. Both of the tail lights and brake lights work. The turn signals all work in front and rear. The turn signal dash indicator arrows also work. The headlights work and the high beams also but one headlight is out. The glass is in nice shape. i really like the shape of the windshield (reminds me of a women's bustline). The hubcaps are nice originals. The following items are not working: radio, horn, clock. The underside does have the typical surface rust present. I have also noticed rust through in front of each rear wheel on the rear floorboards about 6x3'). A couple mounts also look a little weak, but overall the underside looks pretty usable and solid. Please feel free to ask questions. Sold in as-is condition. Inspection is available.
