This is a project that is very dear to my heart that I thought I would finish in retirement but have filled my time with other stuff. It is a 1949 Silver Streak Pontiac 2 door with a 5 chopped roof, rounded hood corners, boxed in license plate, rocker exhaust dumps, modified 1938 pontiac rear window, split windshield, door window opening enough to pass tall root beer mug through and the roof has a 3rd brake light opening. Rear quarters have been modified to except removable flush mount skirts. It has a 1969 Nova front clip with power steering. The rest of the frame is boxed and rocker area is reinforced with tube steel. (jack side of car and both front and back tires go up - no twist!) Rearend is out of a 1968 fastback mustang - open and I think 3.00/1. Tilt steering wheel is out of a 70's trans-am with key removed. (dash key) The rear height has an adjustable shackle. Rims are Stockton (new) chrome reverse 15, tires are like new but front tires should be a taller tire for clearance and ride. Interior: floor, tunnel, and rear seat is all framed. Have two complete bucket seats for front. (1969 Camaro?) A 6' 5person can easily sit in front bucket seats but back seat is about 5' 8 maximum. Dash is complete with all the original gauges and speedometer (54, 000miles) Engine: 454 chevy, may be 20, 000 miles on lower end, has Sanderson? polished ceramic coated headers, intake and cam may be 3, 000 miles. Edlebrock matched, cam-carb & intake. Some chrome ginger bread on the engine. Engine ran strong when installed 1994, has not been started since. Cylinders have been oiled and engine/car have not been out of a garage since 1994. Transmission is a 400 auto out of a 1968 Corvette that only had 25K miles. I have a driveshaft but it will need to be cut down. Have a new (1994) wiring harness ready to be installed(brand - Painless?) Front and rear bumpers are modified twin 1968 Camaro that are ready for new chrome. I have the original radiator but it will need to be recored or replaced. Car comes without any glass. I do have some misc. stuff like baby moons, bumperettes, hubcaps, and windshield visor. Car does not have a gas tank but there is more than enough room under the back window for a 20 gallon tank and the trunk is deep. I easily fabricated one door panel out of luan plywood that will be a breeze to cover. Bidder can use it as an example for the other. Doors are removed but hinges and hardware are present. Door alinements to body near perfect. The car does roll and steer so a winched trailer can pick it up. I will NOT ship this car. Local pick-up only. I expect a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of bid being won. Use paypal. Remainder of payment must be made 7 days after bid has been won using paypal or cash only! I have tried to explain in detail everything about this car but remember this is a project! Please ask any questions that you may have and I'll try to answer them in a timely manner. I have the title and it will signed over after full payment.
