Description:
This is a fire truck from the Traverse City State Hospital. It is a Reo Speedwagon from 1920s or older, and has a 1930 License plate on it. I believe it used to be called the Old Red, and can be seen in photographs from that era at the Traverse Cty Historical Archives. All parts and paint are original, and it has been in storage. There is wear and tear, and the driver's seat leather upholstery is torn, but can be restored easily. The truck was used most recently in parades, and the chrome and brass parts when shined are beautiful. It has the original wood ladder and woven water hoses. Runs but needs a new battery.
