You are bidding on a 1964 Sunbeam Alpine -
Series III
. I have owned the Alpine for about 1.5 years. This Alpine is a solid driver and has been maintained. This is a very fun car to own. I am constantly stopped by car enthusiasts asking about the Alpine. Some features of the Alpine include:
1. The Solex carburetor was replaced with a much better Weber carburetor.
2. New chrome wheels were installed about 6-8 months ago.
3. The car has an additional fan to keep the radiator cool (in front of radiator). Fan runs on automatic capillary system.
4. Tires have minimal wear.
5. New battery was installed about 1.5 years ago.
6. New LED instrument bulbs were installed about 12 months ago (much better for night driving).
7. The voltage stabilizer was replaced within the last 12 months.
8. The transmission fluid was changed within the last 12 months.
9. The oil has been regularly changed.
10. The cooling system was flushed about 12 months ago. New thermostat was installed at that time.
The Alpine is 50 years old and needs paint/cosmetic work. The interior is in good shape. The seats are good. The carpet is not new but looks like it was replaced within the last 510 years. Rust exists on this car (external rockers, etc.). The car needs a new top (top works but has a few holes in it). There is a dent on front right side near the headlamp. Pitting exists on some of the chrome. The sending unit on the fuel tank works, but is inaccurate. The Alpine passed inspection in Texas and has a clean Texas title. I am not sure whether the mileage is 68, 763 or 168, 763. The person I bought it from represented the car as having 67, 000+ original miles. As with any classic car, the Alpine should be inspected and driven
The Rootes Group/Sunbeam only built 5863 units of the Series III. The Series III is perhaps more rare than the other Alpines. Changes from the Series II included a trunk modification, the fuel tank was split into two tanks mounted in each rear wing, and the windshield. Series III's can be identified by the B92 serial number prefix, as well as the tall fins and large open trunk. Series III's are also the only finned Alpines to have the triangular shaped windows on the leading edge of the doors. There are many unique features on the Series III that can only be found on this model. The bonnet badge, now a chrome boss with plastic insert is one such item. This same badge can also be found on other late model Rootes vehicles, including the '69 Alpine fastback.
Terms and Conditions of Sale
You (“Buyer”) are bidding on a 1964 Sunbeam Alpine Series III (“Vehicle”). Please review the included photographs of the Vehicle. It is the Buyer’s duty to review and analyze the Vehicle. The Buyer should personally inspect and drive the Vehicle. The Buyer is welcome to send a representative to inspect the Vehicle on Buyer’s behalf. The Vehicle is pre-owned and is not new, as it is over 50 years old. No returns will be accepted. If, after carefully reading the auction page, the Buyer has questions, please contact me (“Seller”) through eBay. Seller reserves the right to end the auction early for any reason.
Buyer must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Pickup or Delivery
Buyer can pick up the car from Seller in Texas. Buyer can also choose to have the car shipped. The cost of shipping will be the sole responsibility of Buyer. Seller can assist with meeting the shipper. Seller will not bear any responsibility for shipping of logistics regarding the Vehicle. After the sale, the Buyer should pick up the vehicle no later than fourteen (14) days after the end of the auction.
Payment and Deposit
Buyer must contact the Seller within twenty-four (24) hours, one (1) day, of this auction closing. A non-refundable deposit of five hundred dollars ($500) is due within forty-eight (48) hours, two (2) days, of this auction closing and can only be paid to Seller by Cash (in person), Cashier's Check, Money Order, or some other form of certified transfer in US dollars. Full payment of the final price is due within seven (7) days of this auction closing and can only be paid to Seller by Cash (in person), Cashier's Check, Money Order or certified funds in US dollars. Please be advised that Buyer is responsible for all fees associated with the purchase of the Vehicle including but not limited to all taxes and registration.
Seller does not provide financing. Once full payment is received, the Seller will provide a clear Texas title, Bill of Sale and additional Texas forms to Buyer for signature. The forms must be completed before the Vehicle is shipped or made available to Buyer.
Any failure to pay the deposit or final price of the auction within the time noted above will result in full action through eBay and legal action though state and federal law pursuant to this contract. In addition, the Vehicle will be re-listed for sale.


The Fine Print
VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ORAL OR WRITTEN, ASSURANCES OR GUARANTEES.
The Vehicle is non-certified which is offered in pre-owned condition that is being auctioned without refund or exchange options. ANY and ALL representations made in the description above are made to the best of the Seller’s knowledge, however, due to divergent notions of condition and quality, Buyer is encouraged to rely on Buyer’s own physical inspection of the Vehicle and not the description above. Furthermore, due to the likelihood for latent and patent defects within and/or on a pre-owned automobile, the Seller cannot guarantee that all issues are disclosed in the description above. Despite the Seller’s best efforts, it is inevitable that some inaccuracies may occasionally be present in the description. Additionally the photographs of the Vehicle are of the actual Vehicle up for auction, however, the color and general appearance my appear differently based on Buyer’s monitor and color settings. Buyer is hereby advised that it is Buyer’s responsibility to physically inspect the Vehicle prior to completing the sale. Therefore, any claims or disputes as a result of or relate to failure to disclose or misrepresentation are hereby waived by Buyer. The Seller is willing to show Buyer the V.I.N, casting, and/or stamping numbers on the Vehicle, however, the Seller cannot guarantee and does not make any assurances that the Vehicle and/or its components are in fact original. As aforementioned, ANY representation, including originality, are made to the best of the Seller’s knowledge. The mileage of the Vehicle listed above in the description is from the Vehicle, however, Buyer should understand that there is a possibility that mileage is not correctly listed on the Vehicle due to the pre-owned nature of it. The Seller does not guarantee the mileage on the Vehicle. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Buyer hereby consents to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the District Courts in Tarrant County, Texas, USA in all disputes arising out of or resulting from this auction. A bid within a jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms, conditions and notices is still valid to the extent these terms, conditions and notices are valid in that jurisdiction. Buyer agrees that if any part of these terms, conditions and notices is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of these terms, conditions and notices will remain in full force and effect. Buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Seller from and against any and all claims, proceedings, damages, injuries, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), relating to the purchase of the Vehicle that leads to any claim against us by a third-party, regardless of the nature of the cause of action or claim. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Buyer and the Seller with respect to this auction and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written. Seller reserves the right to change these terms, conditions and notices at any time without notice. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Seller.
BY BIDDING ON THIS AUCTION, SELLER AGREES THAT SELLER HAS READ, UNDERSTOOD,
