We are proud and excited to offer this very rare authentic 1966 Sunbeam Tiger MK1A. VIN# B382002230LRXFE JAL# 662239! We purchased this rare speed sled from a local man who owned it for many years. The car underwent a complete restoration a while back and still looks very presentable today. It was always kept in a climate controlled garage and rarely if ever driven in the rain. The body and its under carriage are completely rust and damage free. The older paint still has a very nice finish. Only very minor cosmetics age blemishes are evident from very close up. The interior is also very presentable. The seats, carpeting and gauge package are all in great condition. The convertible top is in like new condition. No rips or tears anywhere. The rear plastic window does however show typical clouding and could stand to be replaced some day. The dash does not appear original, and the instrument gauges have been replaced with Autometer gauges. Mileage on the speedo is 1206, but we cannot authenticate that as being the true mileage. Unlikely that it is. The original instruments do come with the car. The original 260 CI , 300 horse power engine and gearbox preform as if it were still 1966. She has a T 10 4 speed. Dana 3.39 Posi traction rear. The engine has a mild makeover, a mild cam, Edelbrock manifold and a Holley 600 CFM CDI Ignition and Accell wires and cap. Also has stainless Headers and a new exhaust from the headers back. All steel brake lines were replaced as were the brake hoses, rear brakes and calipers. A brand new Bosch Battery, new windshield and new windshield rubber molding were just installed. In summary, this is a real authenticated Tiger. Not a clone. The car has excellent bones. A collector's rare find. There were only 2706 1966 Sunbeam Tigers produced and according to the registry only 500 are still on the road today. Doesn't come a whole lot more rare than that!
