Rumble Seat
1936 Packard 115 C Convertible Coupe with rumble seat. This is a great little six cylinder version of the famous Dietrich design that was shared with the 120 model. This car was recently removed from storage (since 1986). The car underwent a minor servicing. The fuel system was completely gone through. Rebuilt Carb, and Starter. New wire, coil plugs and some new ignition wiring. All work was done by a local shop that specializes in classic, receipt will be included. It runs great starts easy and has good compression. Has no brakes and the tires look good but have flat spots. The cosmetics are just so-so. The paint is flaking but body appears very solid. The top was replaced 2yrs when the car was first pulled from storage along with a new interior! With a little work it could be used as it is and a be a lot of fun. What it needs: brakes, wiring replaced, tires and paint. These cars used a lot of wood in the bodies and this car has never been left outside, hence all of it is sound and none of it has been messed with. These 115 models are rated at 100 HP. The eight cylinder counterpart Packard 120 model is rated at 110 HP. Meanwhile, a 1937 Ford Coupe would have offered in either 60 HP or 85 HP versions. The 115 Packard will run circles around the Ford, yet it remains light to drive/easy to steer and approximately the same size of vehicle. They are scarce. The 115 C was unique to 1937. This rumble seat Dietrich designed body was also unique to this 1937 model 115 C Packard.
