1940 Packard 120

Packard 120 (1940)
for sale

Price: US $4,000.00

Description:

This is an awesome prewar survivor car with the original interior and unmolested engine compartment and trunk area. It has a straight eight engine with a manual three on the tree transmission. It drives like a land yacht - very smooth. I can't verify the mileage so it will be shown as exempt; however, here is a maintenance tag on the door pillar showing maintenance in 1969 at 70, 737 miles. The odometer now shows a little over 72, 000 miles. Based on that, and the condition of the car, I surmise that the car was put in storage around 1970 and then was pulled out and sold at auction in 2011 (to me). I have done a lot of work to find the last owner, with lots of dead ends. The best information I have is that it was owned by the Long family (Long's Marathon Service Station) in Ada, Ohio. Long's Marathon is now Rich's Speedway(?) on Main St. in Ada. The manager there believes she has a picture of the car parked at the old service station. I've loaned this car for a couple of weddings and it was a big hit (see photos). It's a great driver with a lot of history.
The car is being sold locally as well so I reserve the right to terminate the auction if sold.
Feel free to check with me if you need any additional info or photos.
