1936 Super 8 Club Sedan (1404) 139 WB. Frame off restoration to create a reliable, modern vehicle and yet retain all the Packard style, looks and hardware that made a senior Packard one of the classic cars of the twenties and thirties Sand blasted the frame and then powered coated it black, installed a Corvette C-4 front clip with power rack and pinion , added a SSB 13 disc brake upgrade in the front. At the rear, Currie 9 ford with 3.7 posi and disc brakes. Explorer leaf springs with air bag assist and Cal-tract traction bars. The engine, a 511ci hemi by John Arruzza Performance (some of the highlights) Mopar Gen II 426 M block, Stage V aluminum heads, Callies 3/4 crank, Eagle 7.1 rods, Wiseco 10.5 to 1 pistons, Keith Black valve train, Comp hydraulic cam, Rewarder headers, Street hemi 2- four aluminum intake with 2-600 CFM carbs. A beefed up torqueflight transmission, and a Gear vendors overdrive completes the drivetrain. Aluminum radiator with a thermostat controlled electric fan plus A seperate transmission cooler with fan, below and aft of the radiator. Original guages redone and amp gauge converted to volt meter plus the addition of a tach. Tilt wheel, Stereo in overhead console with CD changer in trunk. Cadillac DTS gray leather seats all power front buckets with seat belts front and rear. A/C by Vintage Air. Power windows by Nu Relics.Tail lights converted to LED. Grille opens and closes as original. 16 aluminum wheels with stock Packard hubcaps Top has been cut 2 3/4 (rear window untouched) with Nova wagon ribbed roof insert.
