Price: US $27,900.00
Offered for sale is this beautiful 1955 Packard Model 400, that took its name from the 1955 Patrician 400 models. This rare model was ordered with dual 4-barrel carburetors. A lighter body, and the good transmission makes this Packard one of America's first muscle cars. You can see that it also has the optional Packard tachometer.
This car is mostly original with one repaint. The seats were covered with Fingerhut seat covers from new, but the seat leather has deteriorated over its 60 some years of use and could be replaced. Everything works including the leveling system and the radio. It has four new Coker radial tires and drives perfectly. The engine was overhauled less than 2, 000 miles ago, and has a new radiator and water pump.
This is truly a piece of Packard history and a good example of the muscle cars that would soon follow its production.
