1953 Packard Clipper Sportster. These were the rarest Clippers made with only 3672 produced for 1953. This car is a 26th Series, Thunderbolt 288 Straight 8 Cylinder, 3 Speed Manual, Exterior Paint: Upper Matador Maroon Metallic, Lower Topeka Tan, Interior: Black and White Deluxe. The Packard has been meticulously restored and all parts are factory correct. Prior to the restoration the car was in excellent condition with very low mileage. The exterior of Packard has a spectacular two tone paint job. No expense was spared to refinish the bright work. Period correct white wall rubber with original hub caps. The interior has been completely reupholstered in period correct black and white interior typically available as part of the Deluxe option. The wide bench is comfortable and roomy while offering a Packard Quality ride and view of the road ahead. A trio of gauges is mounted in their own pod ahead of the steering wheel. The AM radio is mounted in the factory location with a speaker below. Black carpet and a black headliner finish off this exceptionally done interior. Typical of a Packard, the engine is smooth and plenty of torque. The 3 speed manual transmission shifts effortlessly through the gears from the column located shifter. The Packard has new shocks, brakes, brake lines, fuel lines and exhaust system. No detail was missed during the meticulous restoration. For fans of late Packards, this is a highly unusual find, and thanks to its impressive condition, will be a delight to own and show for years to come.
