This is a nice pair of all original IN "08 temporary license plates. From 1905 through 1912, Indiana motorists were required to provide their own license plates, bearing the registration number issued by the State. It is believed that cardboard temporary plates were issued to vehicle owners, to be used while awaiting fabrication of the permanent plates.
