You are bidding on a SUPERB, vintage 1922 NEW YORK license plate! Longer (about 15), hefty steel tag has a kelly green base with bright white embossed lettering. About 75% ORIGINAL (Badly-faded lettering and rims have been repainted) and base paint STILL has excellent paint gloss, which is TOUGH TO FIND on older New York tags!
Plate is STRAIGHT as an arrow and lies completely FLAT with ABSOLUTELY NO bends and NO EXTRA HOLES. Some scattered paint chips and scratches, as shown. The back has some paint loss due to old light surface rust that has been cleaned away. Metal and paint are otherwise ABSOLUTELY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "20s auto or your den or man-cave wall! In great shape AND nearly 95 years old! Plate you see (registration 1-021-692) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
