All original 1923 Maine passenger car license plate, in excellent condition. Medium blue on white colors. This plate is straight, with no serious damages at all. No bends, deep scratches, tears, cracks, deep rust or tarnish. There are a few tiny, light scratches from use, and a few light shelf storage marks. No extra holes, or other serious damages are seen. A very nice presentation piece. Not bad for being 92 years old. The white and cream colored Maine plates from the 1920’s are very difficult to find in nice condition, because they became faded, tarnished and rusted so easily over the years. I have looked through many, just to find a few nice ones over the past 10 years or so! This is an embossed, steel plate. There are minor boltmarks on the lower two boltholes, and on the upper two bolt slots.
Please see the photos of the front and rear of this plate. The plate is clean and still has most of its original shine.
