You are bidding on a SUPER, repainted 1924 CONNECTICUT license plate! Lightweight thin steel tag has a matte light gray base with embossed jet-black lettering. It is also unusually long (about 15 x 6), though this is fairly common among older tags. Despite its dense population, Connecticut is not the easiest state for finding extremely old license plates. Repaint job is NOT a professional one, but some nice amateur work, faithful to the original paint colors.
Plate is straight and lies flat, with NO BENDS and NO surface rust. There are three extra holes, one each inside the top bolt slots near the rim, and one at the bottom center near the edge, all of which are from old mounting jobs. These do NOT affect the overall integrity of the metal in ANY way. Displays fantastically on your vintage "20s auto or your den, garage, or man-cave wall.
