very nice mechanically restored 100% original Wisconsin license plate pair. 1942 issue; number 2-792A. truck issue. 14 x 4 1/2 inches; white legend on green background. the plates have been expertly repainted using the exact same process by which they were originally manufactured: a roll-coater was used to apply the white highlights. just like in the state prison in 1929. the plates lie completely straight and flat, and have perfect gloss foreground and background. the fourth picture shows what they looked like before restoration, faded color paint and all.
I am not familiar with Wisconsin"s Year of Manufacture law, as I work mainly with California plates, so I do not know if this pair may be legally registered for road use. however, the quality is so near to perfection that you might like to display the pair on your 1929 vehicle at the next show.
