“100% All Original”

This license plate belonged to Walter Welford, who served as Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota for only 26 days. He served under Governor Thomas H. Moodie, who was removed from office after less than a month, when it was revealed that Moodie had not been a state resident for the required time period.Welford then took over as Governor, and presumably discarded this #2 license plate, as the office of Lieutenant Governor remained vacant until the next election.Condition is not great, with a good amount of surface rust, and a small nail hole at top center. I have never attempted to clean this plate, so it might be able to be improved a bit by the right person with a careful hand.Single digit North Dakota license plates are very scarce to begin with, especially from this early era. However, this old tag is special, as it is a genuine part of North Dakota state history. Don"t let it get away!Priority Mail shipping is a low $4.99 in the US.YES, we combine shipping costs!
