You are bidding on a TERRIFIC, vintage 1938 CALIFORNIA license plate! Slightly larger, heavy steel tag has a bright lemon-yellow base with jet-black embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and STILL has excellent paint gloss! 
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with ABSOLUTELY NO bends, NO EXTRA HOLES and almost NO surface rust. A few small flecks of surface rust and one small patch on back edge remain, but all the rest has been safely cleaned off. Some scattered paint chips and hairline scratches, as shown. Metal and paint are ABSOLUTELY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "30s hot rod or your den or man-cave wall!
