You are bidding on an EXCELLENT, vintage 1938 MISSOURI TRUCK license plate! Lightweight, thin tag has an off-white/cream base with embossed jet-black lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and terrific paint gloss left on it. Uses a highly unusual serif typeface for the registration!
Plate is straight and lies flat, with NO BENDS, NO EXTRA HOLES and almost NO surface rust. Plate hsa been creased several times in the past, but these bends have been straightened out overall; rims could probably be flattened out further. There are some minor surface scratches, and stains from old rust that has been almost completely cleaned away. Also a crack through rim above top left bolt hole, but this does not affect ability for display. Metal and paint are SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "30s truck or your den, garage, or man-cave wall, and it"s nearly 80 years old! Plate you see (registration 43-988) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
