You are bidding on a BRILLIANT, vintage 1938 NEBRASKA license plate! Medium-weight steel tag has a classic jet-black base with silver-gray embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and STILL has absolutely fantastic paint gloss! Registered in Gosper County, in south-central Nebraska, including Elwood and Smithfield. With a population of just over 2,000 people, Gosper County is one of the least-populous in Nebraska, making this an EXTREMELY RARE license plate! What"s more, this plate came with some of the original packaging paper stuck to the back, so it was NEVER put on a motor vehicle--it is TOTALLY UNUSED.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with ABSOLUTELY NO bends, NO EXTRA HOLES and almost NO surface rust. There is some minor paint loss around the left and right edges and top edge due to old rust from improper storage over the years (virtually all rust has been cleaned away). Paint could easily be touched up if buyer desired. Metal and paint are ABSOLUTELY SOLID and VERY SHARP. Displays fantastically on your vintage "30s auto or your den or man-cave wall!
