You are bidding on a TERRIFIC, vintage 1938 WISCONSIN license plate! Heavier, oversized (about 15) tag has a silver-gray painted base with jet-black embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and very good paint gloss, which is TOUGH TO FIND on Wisconsin plates from this era. 
Plate is straight and lies flat, with absolutely NO BENDS, NO extra holes, and almost NO SURFACE RUST. There is scattered paint loss, most noticeably on the back, as shown in photos, which could potentially be touched up if buyer desires. Dark gray areas indicate paint loss due to old rust that has been almost completely cleaned away. Integrity of metal and paint are TOTALLY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "30s auto or your den, restaurant, or man-cave wall, AND it"s almost 80 years old! Plate you see (registration 130-459) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
