These plates have all original paint with no restoration of any kind. They still retain a little gloss after many decades. A sloppy paint job at the time of original manufacture has resulted in an uneven surface of the yellow background. Also, the extreme left edge has been sheared off of each tag. Please carefully examine the close-up photos for detail.Old original-condition Georgia pairs from this era are quite scarce, but the low number single digit on these make them something really special. The E on the far right side of the plate is a weight class, indicating that these tags were registered to a private passenger vehicle which weighed between 4001 and 4500 pounds.
