Oversized, slightly heavier steel tag has an off-white base with maroon embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still fantastic paint gloss! From St. Clair County, north of Detroit, including Port Huron, Marine City, Richmond, St. Clair, Marysville, and Memphis. 
Plate is straight and lies flat, with absolutely NO BENDS. There are some areas of base paint loss around rims, which could be touched up if buyer desires. Two extra nail holes at center of each end, barely visible, and do not affect display. A few small stubborn specks of rust on both sides, possibly could be cleaned off. Metal and paint are absolutely SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "40s auto or your den, garage, or man-cave wall. In great shape AND a full 75 years old!
