There are two varieties of the 1941 Arkansas plate - one is steel, and this one, the more scarce type, is made of aluminum. These are difficult to find in nice condition, as they consisted of sparse green paint applied to an unprimed metal surface. In many cases, the paint flaked off. Also, because the plates were made of thin aluminum, they they were easily bent and torn.However, the one we are offering today is all original, with virtually 100% of the number paint remaining. There are a few minor bends by the corners, but for the most part the plate is nicely intact after 75 years.
