very nice restored 100% original New York license plate pair. 1941 issue; number 7E 12 99. 13 x 6 inches; black legend on yellow-orange background. the plates lie almost completely straight and flat, with just a bit of prison warp to them. that"s how they all came off the press. excellent quality; gloss foreground on semi-gloss background.
DMV clear as of 5/9/2016. may be registered on your 1941 vehicle for road use. perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Studebaker, or DeLorean.
please note that New York DMV is a stickler for original plates. these have been repainted, but have been done so well that they will pass muster as vintage. I"ve scuffed them up a bit with sandpaper, and I challenge the average DMV clerk to know the difference between these and a lightly used pair.
