You are bidding on a rugged, vintage 1942 COLORADO license plate! Medium-weight, longer (about 14.5) tag has a maroon base with bright white embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still good paint gloss! From Douglas County, in central Colorado, including Castle Rock, Larkspur, Parker, and Lone Tree.
Plate is straight and lies flat, with absolutely NO BENDS. There is some scattered paint loss from old surface rust that has mostly been cleaned away (as shown in photos). It has been bent, including from top to bottom, at some point in the past, but dents and creases have been essentially flattened out. THere is also one small nail hole near the center, obviously from an old mounting job, but otherwise paint and metal are TOTALLY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your den, garage, or man-cave wall, AND it"s over 70 years old! Plate you see (registration 47-386) is the exact plate you"ll receive. Definitely check out the photos for all the close-up details!
