“several nail holes”

This is a 1944 Nevada motorcycle license plate, low number 36. It is made of steel, measures 3-1/4 x 7-3/4 and is painted white on maroon.
It has 5 nail holes plus 1 extra bolt hole near the upper LH corner. The embossed bead around the edges has pretty much been flattened.
Plates of this year are hard to come by... you take what you can or keep on looking.
