You are bidding on a TERRIFIC, vintage 1949 KENTUCKY license plate! Lightweight aluminum tag has an unpainted base with jet-black embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still nice paint gloss! Registered in Campbell County, in northern Kentucky, including Newport, Alexandria, Fort Thomas, and Southgate. Waffle hatched texture to plate typical of many late "40s/early "50s American tags, meant to provide extra strength to thin aluminum.
Plate is straight and lies flat, with absolutely NO BENDS, NO SURFACE RUST and NO EXTRA HOLES. There are several scattered scuffs and scratches, as shown. Metal, however, is TOTALLY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "40s car or truck, or on your den, garage, or man-cave wall. In great shape AND over 65 years old!
