GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage 1950 South Dakota Trailer License Plate. Single plate - # 5*929. This is a waffle aluminum plate and it is smaller plate - about 4 by 9. As you know, these aluminum plates never held paint very well. This one has some paint loss, mostly on the lower right corner area.
CONDITION: The plate is good for the age and material. Does have paint loss in the lower right hand corner and a little on the bottom middle on the edge. Has paint discoloring also in the lower right. Fairly straight. There are no signs this was ever bolted to a trailer. A generally good plate that is probably hard to find with original paint.
