You are bidding on a SOLID, vintage 1951 COLORADO license plate! Medium-weight, longer (about 14) tag has a forest-green base with bright white embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still FANTASTIC paint gloss! From El Paso County, in central Colorado, including Colorado Springs, Fountain, Manitou Springs, Green Mountain Springs, Ramah, and Palmer Lake, and the home of the U.S. Air Force Academy! Includes the motto COLORFUL embossed at the top center.
Plate is straight and lies flat, with NO major BENDS, NO extra holes, and absolutely NO SURFACE RUST. There are a number of paint chips from old, cleaned-away rust , but these could be touched up by buyer if desired. Plate has been bent and creased in the past, but these have been straightened out as much as seems possible (again, if buyer desires, it may be possible to flatten it even more). Paint and metal are TOTALLY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "50s hot rod or your den, garage, or man-cave wall, AND it"s a full 65 years old!
