Item for bid is one 1955 OHIO House Trailer License Plate. This is an all original plate in good condition. The background paint has a couple of minor surface rust spots. Some rust at the bolt holes and on the nicks and scratches on the white embossed lettering. Has a dent in the left side at the border. Oversized 14 inch plate. This is a little above average paint 1955. In 1954, 55, 56 and 57 Ohio used a thin lacquer paint (maybe water based) in lieu of the enamel paint used before and after these years. So for a 55 this is slightly above average plate. I think this is the last year for the 14 inch long House Trailer plate and also the first year for the Tralr abbreviation. Just a cool plate. I have had this plate 40 years, time to let someone else have it for their collection.
