This is the dated 1956 base plate, validated for 1958 with a metal year tab. Just to the left of the tab, it appears as if one or more stickers were removed. This removal job has left some scratches in the blue finish, as well as edge residue from a sticker.Despite these problems, this is a mostly pretty plate with nice gloss.
