You are bidding on a RUGGED, vintage 1957 base RHODE ISLAND license plate! Lightweight tag has an off-white base with jet-black embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and STILL has good paint gloss. From the smallest state by area in the USA--not an easy jurisdiction for finding nice older tags. Includes the white-on-black 58 renewal tag over the 57 date at top right.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies completely FLAT with ABSOLUTELY NO bends, NO EXTRA HOLES and NO surface rust. Plate has been creased a few times in the past, but these have for the most part been straightened out. There are scattered paint chips on both sides from wear or from old rust that has been entirely cleaned away. Metal and paint are ABSOLUTELY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "50s auto or your den or man-cave wall! It"s in great shape AND nearly 60 years old! Plate you see (registration CV323) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
