You are bidding on a vintage 1960 ILLINOIS license plate! Extremely lightweight aluminum tag has a deep royal blue base with bright orange embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and STILL has very good paint gloss! Includes the state nickname LAND OF LINCOLN embossed at the top.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with ABSOLUTELY NO bends, NO extra holes and almost NO surface rust. There are some minor scuffs and scratches to paint and rough spots in paint from old light surface rust that has been nearly completely cleaned away. Plate has been creased and straightened in the past, and there are a few tears in the rims, but metal and paint are COMPLETELY SOLID. Displays fantastically on your vintage "60s auto or your den or man-cave wall, and it"s a full 55 years old! Plate you see (registration 501 446) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
