You are bidding on an EXCELLENT, vintage 1961 INDIANA license plate! Medium-weight tag has a fire-engine red base with bright white embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still excellent paint gloss! Includes the SAFETY PAYS slogan reverse-embossed into bottom center box. From Tippecanoe County, in western Indiana, including Lafayette, Clarks Hill, Dayton, Shadeland, and West Lafayette (the home of Purdue University)!
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with absolutely NO extra holes, NO BENDS, and NO SURFACE RUST. There is some scattered, minor paint loss due to old surface rust, as shown, that has been completely cleaned off. (Paint could be easily touched up if buyer desired.) Plate metal is TOTALLY SOLID.
