Here is a SUPER SHARP, vintage 1961 MISSISSIPPI PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION construction crew bus license plate! Medium-weight steel tag has a jet-black base with bright white embossed lettering and rims. COMPLETELY RESTORED. (Plate had earlier been badly repainted.) Construction crew buses transport workers to sites where utility (water, sewer, cable, power lines, etc.) are being installed/repaired. This is a RARE plate with a LOW, 3-digit registration number, in a state that is VERY TOUGH for finding good pre-1965 auto tags. PSC plates in Mississippi generally used the reverse color scheme from passenger/farm/truck tags (regular 1961 MS tags used black paint on a white base).
Plate is totally STRAIGHT and lies completely FLAT, with absolutely NO BENDS, NO EXTRA HOLES and NO SURFACE RUST. Paint color is superb, and metal is COMPLETELY SOLID.
