You are bidding on an EXCELLENT, vintage 1962 base TENNESSEE license plate! Lightweight aluminum tag has a bright white base with jet-black lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS. Still SUPERB gloss on the paint, which is tough to find on older Tennessee plates--the Volunteer State is notoriously difficult for locating older tags. Registered in Cannon County in central Tennessee, including Woodbury, Iconium, Hopewell, Auburntown, Midway, and Birdwing. Includes a renewal sticker for 1965 at the top left corner, over "63 and "64 stickers.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with NO bends, NO extra holes, and absolutely NO surface rust. There is some stray white paint that appears to have gotten onto the bottom and right sides of the plate in error (not as a cosmetic fix), nearly indistinguishable from the original factory base paint. Metal and original paint remain completely SOLID. Displays nicely on your early "60s auto or your den, garage, restaurant or man-cave wall--still in great shape and nearly 55 years old! Plate you see (registration 80-T221) is the exact plate you"ll receive.
