Medium-weight tag has a jet-black base with golden yellow embossed lettering. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still excellent paint gloss! Includes the SAFETY PAYS slogan reverse-embossed into top center box. From Tippecanoe County, in western Indiana, including Lafayette, Clarks Hill, Dayton, Shadeland, and West Lafayette, and uses the colors of Purdue University!
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with absolutely NO extra holes, NO BENDS, and almost NO SURFACE RUST. There is some scattered paint loss and some rough spots in paint due to old surface rust, as shown, that has been mostly cleaned off. (Paint could be easily touched up if buyer desired.) Plate metal is TOTALLY SOLID. Mounts fantastically on your vintage "60s auto or your den or man-cave wall. In great shape AND almost 55 years old!
