You are bidding on an SOLID, vintage 1963 SOUTH CAROLINA license plate! Medium-weight tag has a kelly-green base with bright white embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS (no added paint). Still SUPERB gloss on the paint, which is tough to find on older South Carolina plates--the Palmetto State is notoriously difficult for locating older tags. A prefix denotes passenger plate for vehicle weighing under 2,000 pounds.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with NO bends and NO extra holes, and essentially NO SURFACE RUST. There is some staining to the metal due to rust that has otherwise been cleaned away (see photos); paint could be touched up if desired. Metal remains completely SOLID, and paint is strong. Displays very nicely on your early "60s auto or your den, garage, restaurant or man-cave wall--still in great shape and a full 50 years old!
