You are bidding on an EXCELLENT 1965 ALABAMA license plate! Medium-weight tag has a Prussian blue base with rough orange reflective embossed lettering and rims. 100% ORIGINAL, with NO TOUCH-UPS, and still has great paint gloss! Includes the slogan HEART OF DIXIE embossed at the top rim and a heart-shaped logo at bottom left. From Jefferson County, including Birmingham, Homewood, Irondale, Bessemer, Leeds, Hueytown, Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Trussville and Mountain Brook. Alabama plates are not always easy to come by, so this is a rare find!
Plate is straight and lies completely flat, with NO BENDS, NO SURFACE RUST and NO EXTRA HOLES. A few scattered minor paint chips, as shown in close-up photos, mostly around rims but also a few places in blue field on both sides. There are some stains in exposed metal due to old surface rust that has otherwise been completely cleared away. Plate displays fantastically on your vintage "60s muscle car or your den, garage, or man-cave wall, AND it"s over 50 years old!
