1966-73 New York License plate 1955 Dodge La Femme 55-LA Brooklyn Dodgers

I do not know the history of this plate, I have tried to figure out what if anything the 55-LA might have meant to the original owner.
I first thought it might be for the Brooklyn Dodgers who finally won the World series over their crosstown rival Yankees in 1955 then moved to LA serveral years later.
Then I discovered the Dodge La Femme which was produced by Dodge between 1955 and 1956. The automobile was specifically designed for women.
Either way you look at it it"s a pretty cool tag!
Plate is an original state issued license plate, over three yrs old and complies with e-bay policies.
