STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP FROM ANGOLA PENITENTIARY, WERE IT WAS MADE 50 YEARS AGO. NEW OLD STOCK.
This is about as close to perfection as you can get. Some minor paint flaws, metal may warp a little bit...but they came that way originally. After all, they were made by convicts. The photo was taken through the shrink wrap, so there may be some distortion or abberations in the photo, however this is not actually on the plate.
LOUISIANA ISSUED TWO YEAR PLATE 66-67.
SINGLE PLATE ONLY FOR REAR OF VEHICLE SINCE 1952.
USPS PRIORITY MAIL FOR THIS ITEM IN THE ENVELOPE WITH CARDBOARD STIFFINERS.
DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. WE WILL SHIP TO DESIGNATED THIRD PARTIES AT ANY USA ZIP CODE.
ITEM IS OBVIOUSLY MORE THAN THREE YEARS OF AGE.
ELIGIBILITY FOR VEHICLE IS BY THE YEAR MODEL ON YOUR TITLE.
APPARENTLY A CAR PLATE CAN ALSO BE USED ON A TRUCK, VAN, OR MOTOR HOME OF LESS THAN 16,000 POUNDS, SO LONG AS THE VEHICLE IS STOCK OR RESTORED TO STOCK. BUT CHECK WITH THE OMV TO BE SURE.

DEFINITION
The law provides for the use of antique license plates issued the same year as the model year of the motor vehicle. The license plate must indicate the year the plate expired. For example, an automobile plate which was issued in Louisiana and indicates an expiration year of 1950 can be assigned to a 1950 model year vehicle. THE OFFICE OF MOTOR VEHICLES DOES NOT ISSUE THIS TYPE PLATE. AN INDIVIDUAL MUST PROVIDE THE PLATE BEFORE APPLYING TO USE IT ON A VEHICLE.
ELIGIBILITY
Any antique motor vehicle or motorcycle at least twenty-five (25) years old which has been restored to its original condition without modifications contrary to stock specifications and which is registered in the name of an individual is eligible for this type plate. The license plate must be at least twenty-five (25) years old, in good condition, and must show the same expiration year as the model year of the vehicle on which it will be placed. Since plate numbers were duplicated in previous years, a plate cannot be used on a vehicle if the same plate number is currently assigned to another vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS
All applications for initial issuance or transference of an Antique license plate must be accompanied by: a current color photograph of the vehicle a notarized affidavit (DPSMV 1911) attesting to the fact that the vehicle has been restored to its original condition without modifications contrary to stock specifications OR a photocopy of a card showing applicant"s membership in an antique car club must be submitted. A color photograph of the license plate must be submitted with the file for approval for usage, unless the license plate is brought into the Specialized Plate and Title Unit for approval.
If the vehicle is not registered in the applicant"s name, proper title documentation and fees must be submitted along with the request applying for usage of the plate. See Section IV, Policy/Procedure Statement #8.1 for titling an antique vehicle when there is no record of ownership or Section IV, Policy #2.0 on obtaining a certificate of title.
FEES The fee to assign the antique plate to a vehicle is a one-time $25.00 fee, including an $8.00 handling fee due on all transactions. No $3.50 administrative handling fee will be due on these plates. The registration certificate will reflect PERM since the plate will be considered a lifetime plate. All license plates issued prior to July 2001 will also be considered lifetime plates. A $3.00 transfer fee is due when transferring the antique plate from one vehicle to another vehicle of the same year model.
All requests for initial issuance must be mailed to the Special/Dealer Plate Unit, P.O. Box 64886, Baton Rouge, La., 70896. Transfers can be processed by any motor vehicle office or public tag agent.
