Excellent condition 1971 North Dakota motorcycle license plate # 12559. If you look at the picture carefully you can see traces of red paint under the blue. This late-issue high-number 1971 plate was painted red on white as part of the 1970 issue but the year wasn"t stamped into the plate at that time. Instead, as more plates were needed in 1971, undated high numbers from 1970 were repainted and stamped 71. I"ve seen this happen on some other non-passenger types. Interesting plate!
